Wheel Refurbishment
We can expertly refurbish your alloy wheels to a high quality finish
A wide variety of finishes are available in a multitude of colours with gloss and satin finishes, or even fluorescent!
We can refurbish wheels to their original OEM specifications or to suit your individual preferences, and we can also handle diamond cut wheels without problem.
We can even colour match your wheels, if for example only one wheel is damaged, to avoid having to have all four wheels refinished, saving you money.
New centre caps and new matching wheel bolts (eg black wheel bolts on dark finished wheels) can be supplied at additional cost, and we can also supply new tyres to be refitted at the point of refurbishment.
We can also fit Alloygators to protect your newly refurbished wheels.
Examples of some of our wheel refurbishment jobs are below
The Process
The process can vary slightly depending on the finish type (for example Diamond Cut has a finely machined surface) but generally speaking:
The tyres, valves and wheel weights are removed
Wheels are fully washed and decontaminated prior to further processes, to eliminate contamination
Wheels are chemically stripped and bead blasted if required, to remove all traces of previous paint finishes, leaving the bare metal surface
Any damage is repaired, ie: kerbing and corrosion (cracks or buckles are repaired at extra cost)
Wheels are then powder coated in multi-layer base and top coats in the colour of your choosing, giving an impressive, durable finish
At this point, any Diamond Cut finishes are machined on a precision lathe, and then a lacquer is applied
Tyres and new valves are refitted (original TPMS are re-installed) and wheels are balanced to perfection
Tyres are dressed and the completed wheel package is refitted to the car and torqued to manufacturer specifications with a calibrated torque wrench
How long does it take and what is the cost?
Generally, refurbishment can take 2 -4 days, depending on the extent of damage and finish required. If you are considering having other detailing work done it’s the ideal time to get the wheels refurbished while the vehicle is already off the road and therefore minimising your downtime.
During the whole process, your vehicle is kept securely within our locked and alarmed unit.
