These amazing sports cars have really taken the market by storm, being loved by owners and enthusiasts alike.
Lotus really have upped their game in recent years and have brought a supercar to the masses, with significantly improved fit and finish, interior quality and engineering.
That being said, as is often the case for many hand finished cars, the paint finish often is less than ideal, and being an expensive car, the paint can be a little more delicate and prone to stone chips and road rash, which both devalue the car but also negatively impact it’s appearance - a shame on such a beautiful vehicle!
The above marks were photographed on effectively a brand new car (with approx 500 miles on it) - It had not been washed by the owner. These are sanding marks from factory. Whether from the paint process, or from a process known as “de-nibbing” (removing tiny imperfections on the surface of the paint), it’s an unpleasant finish on any car, let alone one as truly beautiful as the Lotus Emira.
In any event this is a less than ideal condition for a brand new car costing in excess of £80,000. At On Track Detailing, we are able to rectify these, as well as remove swirl marks and other scratches, through our expert machine polishing processes prior to application of Paint Protection Film (PPF)
On this particular Emira the owner went for a great balance of cost v protection - With our extended “track pack” PPF solution
This covered the Bonnet, Bumper, Front wings, Wing mirrors, A pillars, Side skirts, as well as a custom piece on the rear bumper; Protecting the high impact areas from stone chips, scratches and other damage, as well as full UV protection, protection from vandalism, minor scuffs, plus the benefits of a 12 year warranted film, that’s self healing and hydrophobic
Following the Paint Protection Film installation, and the necessary machine polishing, we applied Infinity Wax’s Synergy 2, which is a great entry level ceramic coating for around 2 years of protection. This was applied to the whole car. We do have ceramic coatings available that last for up to 6 years - Please ask for details

Following all of the above work - we are now left with a Lotus Emira which looks stunning, is fully protected for total peace of mind, to ensure retention of the vehicles value over time and ease of care for the owner.
Unlike many other Paint Protection Film installers, we at On Track Detailing offer a matching installation guarantee alongside the standard Film warranty (which covers things like yellowing, cracking or delamination).
We also complete our work in house (rather than subcontracting) which means cutting out any middle-man fees and ensuring we have full understanding of the work undertaken, and are on hand for round the clock for full aftercare support should it be required - and include a free post installation check up, where practical, for total peace of mind.
