PPF Installation Warranty Terms and Conditions

Market-Leading PPF Installation Warranty - We cover the Paint Protection Film installation as well, not just the standard film guarantee, unlike the majority of installers in the country. The standard guarantee covers issues such as yellowing or layer separation within the film - We offer a no quibble installation warranty as well

Please note that the post-installation check-up is needed minimum of 21 days after installation to allow time for the film to cure and any moisture or installation marks to self-heal

This agreement outlines the installation warranty provided by On Track Detailing Ltd ("Us") for Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation services. Please review and understand the following terms:

1. Warranty Overview:

a. The Installation Warranty is an additional assurance over the standard film guarantee, covering installation-related issues that may arise. Please note it does not cover impact damage, scratches, chips, scuffs, or vandalism.

b. Our installation warranty covers any installation-related issues such as lifting, fingers or imperfections. Please note it does not cover contamination smaller than 5mm.

c. The installation warranty does not cover dirt stuck on any exposed edges of the film (All edges are wrapped where possible to avoid this). We will however complete a free trim within 6 months or 6,000 miles of installation for any dirt and lifetime free advise (usually, regular cleaning will suffice).

2. Warranty Voidance:

a. Improper care voids the warranty. This includes the use of machine car washes, "roadside hand car washes," or washes by dealers or service centers.

b. The warranty remains valid with professional valeter or detailer washes or washing at home by the owner.

3. Maintenance Terms:

a. To maintain the warranty, the vehicle must return to On Track Detailing for a scheduled wash and inspection. This service takes 2-3 hours and costs £129, covering a full external wash, spray sealant, interior valet and a thorough PPF inspection.

b. The inspection must occur no longer than 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, after the initial installation and within 12 months or 12,000 miles from the previous inspection.

c. Any issues or concerns must be reported as soon as they are noticed, and the vehicle brought in for inspection within 28 days of noticing the problem.

4. Warranty Duration:

a. The installation warranty duration aligns with the film warranty duration. Typically, 7 or 12 years.

5. Warranty Independence:

a. Failing to maintain the installation warranty does NOT impact the film warranty.

6. Warranty Transfer:

a. The warranty cannot be transferred to a new owner, unless the vehicle is inspected and owner is given training on suitable care methods and techniques. This warranty transfer and training is £149, which includes a wash and inspection.

Please note that written confirmation via E-mail, or in writing is required for the PPF Installation warranty and by doing so you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined above

PPF “Problem” Q&A

Will there be contamination?

While every single effort is made to remove contamination including ensuring the workshop is clean, lint free clothes are worn during installation, the panel and working areas are suitably prepared, shutters are down and careful inspection, there may be very small pieces of contamination (small dust etc) in the installation - While some companies may promise a contamination free install this is often not possible and when occurs is partly more luck than skill :-)

Of course, we always aim for perfection but it’s important to be realistic.

My film has just been installed but it looks like there is some moisture present in the installation

Some moisture may be present post installation, typically more common during the winter months, and typically goes away normally after some regular heat exposure and time, this is covered in the post-installation checkover after a minimum of 21 days

My PPF has what appears to be odd lines or markings in the film

These are typically just installation marks and will resolve themselves over a few weeks when given exposure to heat and time, again this is more typical during the colder months when the film is installed
