Tesla New Car Gyeon Detail - Model 3 Highland

This brand new Tesla Model 3 was treated to our New Car Protection Detail as well as a 3 Year Ceramic Coating on the paint and a 12 Month Coating applied to all exterior glass.

We collected the Tesla from the owners home to make life easier for them. Of course we are fully insured for this, making it much more convenient than relying on lifts from your friends, partners or getting a Taxi.

The Model 3 Highland has no indicator stalks, instead having buttons on the wheel, which did take a few corners to get used to, but after a while it seemed quite intuitive.

Once back at our unit, we started with our full external deep wash and prep which included iron and tar decontamination, and a full clean of all door shuts, trims, and under the “frunk”. We use 0 TDS water, which we make in house via our 4 stage RO and DI system (reverse osmosis and de-ionisation). This ensures zero watermarks.

Despite being brand new, there were some defects in the paint which needed removing before protecting the surface.

We gave the whole car a single stage machine polish before hand to remove the reasonably light marks, which were scattered all over the car, and gives the paint the absolute best gloss possible before laying down the ceramic coating.

An example of these marks from the factory / dealer are below, and you can see they’ve been removed after corrective polishing.

The owner of the Tesla requested Gyeon MOHS Evo as their ceramic coating, and we were happy to accommodate the clients specific wishes.

Gyeon MOHS is an excellent all round ceramic coating with a rated durability of up to 3 Years with suitable care. We have installed it on Hundreds of cars in the past and we are impressed with it’s performance and durability.

With the coating applied to all painted surfaces, and the headlights / tailights - The ceramic coating helps to ensure maintenance of the vehicle is easier moving forwards. It provides chemical protection from UV damage as well as other airborne chemicals and keeps the car cleaner for longer. When you do come to wash the car, the dirt comes off much more easily and as such, reduces the chances of putting extra swirl marks into the paint.

we also applied a 12 Month Glass Sealant which ensures safety in our British weather, with water rolling up and beading on the glass, improving visibility in all weather and negating the need to use your wipers when above approximately 40MPH.

While the car was new it still had some dust on the interior so we finished off by giving it a quick interior clean and once done the finished article was ready for collection. It certainly looks amazing in Ultra Red
